Standard Privacy Policy for Bots
Effective October 9, 2026
This policy applies to a bot on Falcon Black if its author hasn't provided their own. The author is the person or organization that created the bot. The bot's program runs on the author's server, and Falcon Black doesn't control it. Each mini app has its own privacy policy — a link to it is shown in the permission window and in the app's “•••” menu.
What a bot receives. When you tap “Start” and write to a bot, its author receives your display name, your app language, the number this bot knows you by (each bot has its own), everything you write and send to the bot, and your taps on its buttons. In a group or channel, a bot receives the messages it can see under that chat's settings, with the same sender name that members see. Your username, phone number, photo, contacts and other chats are not shared with the bot.
Why. The author may use this data only to run the bot: to reply to you and do what you ask it to. The author may not sell it, show it to outsiders, use it for advertising or pass it to others — except services the bot can't work without (such as hosting), and only under the terms of this policy.
Storage and deletion. The author keeps the data no longer than the bot needs it, takes care of it and deletes it at your request. To ask for deletion, write to the bot. To stop a bot, use “Stop bot” in your chat with it: after that it can't message you. What the bot has already received stays with the author until they delete it.
The role of Falcon Black. Falcon Black can't see what a bot's program does with data on the author's server. The rules for bot authors (falconblack.org/bots/rules) require them to follow this policy. You can report a bot from its profile; we turn off bots that break the rules. If the author doesn't respond to a deletion request, write to us at support@falconblack.org and include the bot's username.
How Falcon Black handles your data is described in our Privacy Policy: falconblack.org/privacy. If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated.
